Shortage of sailing instructors in Galway E-mail

With all the recent bad news in relation to job cuts and redundancies, it is reassuring to learn that at least one industry is still crying out for good, qualified workers. Bow Waves, Galway's Sail and Powerboat School, is finding it difficult to locate instructors and this year it seems to be a nationwide problem.

Bow Waves are taking the initiative by offering RYA Powerboat Instructor, Keelboat Instructor and Senior Dinghy instructor courses to try to fill this shortage. The Galway sailing and boating industries are looking to utilize the available local resources, instead of hiring in from elsewhere. For anyone with sailing or powerboating experience looking to update their skills, further their development, earn some extra money and train as an instructor, there are plenty of opportunities out there.
