Two tourists killed in Connemara collision E-mail

Gardaí in Clifden are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 12 midday yesterday at Lettergesh East, Tully Cross, Renvyle, Co Galway.

Two males, one in his late 40s and one in his 60s were fatally injured when the silver Ford Mondeo Car they in which they were travelling slid down an embankment and overturned.

Two female passengers were brought to University College Hospital Galway for treatment, where their injuries were described as not life threatening.

Gardaí at Clifden are appealing to any witness that may have been in the area between 11am and 12.30pm and who may be in a position to assist, to contact them at 095­22500, or the Garda Confidential telephone line 1800 666 111.
