Two people rescued from Canal

Two units of Galway Fire Brigade were dispatched to a rescue two people from the Canal in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Galway City Fire Brigade confirmed that they received a call from ambulance control that two people had fallen into the canal.

The Fire Brigade used ladders and rescue equipment to get the people out of the canal but neither was seriously injured.
