The House Hotel at Spanish Parade is playing host to two of the most listened to American country music radio stations this week.

WUSN from Chicago and WYCD from Detroit together have over one million listeners in the United States. As both cities have huge Irish - American populations the stations decided that in celebration of St Patricks day they would bring their morning shows to Galway. The two top stations will broadcast live throughout this week between 10am and 2pm from the House Hotel's lounge.

Twelve lucky listeners, who won their once-in-a-lifetime trip to Ireland through the stations' extensive contest, are joining the broadcasting team.

The shows will feature interviews with citizens of Galway and two very special musical guests. Pat Green and Jack Ingram command a unique position in the music world on the other side of the Atlantic.

The three-time Grammy nominee Pat Green sells out stadiums like the Houston Astrodome. His latest album, 'The Cannonball' has transformed him from massive cult star to emerging country superstar.

Jack Ingram has toured as the support act for Sheryl Crow and sang the National Anthem to 12 million viewers at the NBA Finals in 2006. Jack's first single, 'Wherever You Are,' from his Big Machine debut album went to number one on all charts.

Both of the artists will perform an acoustic concert in the Parlour Bar and Grill at the House Hotel today Wednesday 12 March, at 9pm.

The concert is open to the public and free of charge.
