Knocknacarra Amateur Theatre Society (KATS) will be kicking off their 10th anniversary year of drama next spring with a production of Tennessee Williams’ classic, The Glass Menagerie.

The production will be the start of a year long anniversary celebration of KATS community drama in Galway, though it will be tinged with sadness following the untimely death last summer of KATS founder and beloved director, Paddy Henry.

Lorcan Mannion, who is directing this production, will be holding auditions in the community rooms adjacent to Joyce’s Supermarket, Knocknacarra on Saturday 13 October. The auditions will take the form of morning sessions from 9.30am to 12.30pm and afternoon sessions from 2pm to 4.30pm workshop sessions. Each session will be stand-alone so participants are welcome to attend all or either one of the two sessions.

There are several roles to fill, from casting through technical and stage production, so anyone interested in taking part in bringing a challenging play to life for Galway and national audiences is welcome to attend.
