Galway Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (GSPCA) currently has possession of two cats and a kitten, which are believed to be family pets that may have strayed as a result of the New Year storms.

One of the strays is a pure white male cat with green eyes, aged approximately three years. The cat, which had a collar, was found in the Renmore area on New Year's Eve, but he may have travelled from another area.

The GSPCA also has a female black/peach/white cat, aged approximately one to two years, which was found during the same period. In residence also is a black and white kitten, which was found on Christmas Eve.
