The Galway-based support group for separated dads, Families, Fathers and Friends, is launching its new advisory, counselling and information service at a fundraising fashion show in the Ardilaun Hotel on Wednesday 12 March at 7.30pm.

Organisers of the first annual 'Dashing Dudes Fashion Show' have roped in a raft of city councillors and sports stars for the evening extravaganza, which is being hosted jointly by TG4's Loretta Ni Ghabhann and Ollie Turner from Galway Bay FM.

"Like the song says, every girl's crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man. We have a real who's who of male and female models helping us raise matching funds to get public money. It's Euro for Euro - simple as that! We need 600 people in the Ardilaun on 12 March. Although we might not have something for everyone in the audience, many will walk away with a worthwhile gift," said Sam Butt, Director the group.

Families, Fathers and Friends was set up to provide information, advice, counselling and friendship for men experiencing broken relationships and the pain of losing their spouse or partner, children and home. It provides a space and a place for men to talk about their problems, and to learn about their rights and responsibilities, especially on access and guardianship.

Tickets for the fashion show are €20 and are available by phoning Families, Fathers and Friends at 1890-554433.
