Inclusion Ireland, the National Association for People with an Intellectual Disability, is hosting its annual self-advocacy conference 'My Voice…My Choice' on Wednesday and Thursday 18 and 19 June in the Carlton Shearwater Plaza Hotel in Ballinasloe Co. Galway.

The majority of speakers and attendees will be people with an intellectual disability. Some of the themes being addressed by speakers who are self advocates are: 'Being Included', 'My Journey to Independence', 'Peer Advocacy', and 'The Right Supports in My Life.'

Workshops on drama, relaxation, independent living and supported decision making are also included in the conference programme and other speakers will include Disability Minister John Moloney (tbc) and Labour Party Leader Eamon Gilmore.
