Gardai in Tuam are seeking witnesses to yesterday's fatal single vehicle road traffic collision near Williamstown village on the Glenamaddy Road. The collision occurred on Tuesday 17 November at approximately 9.20am, when the car collided with a roadside house. A 58-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while a five-year-old girl, who was a passenger in the car at the time of the collision, was taken to Galway University Hospital with minor injuries.

The road was closed for a period of time yesterday while Forensic Collision Investigators conducted their investigations at the scene.
