The Renmore annual pantomime returns this year with a twist on the fairytale favourite, Cinderella. Peter Kennedy has specially scripted an original, humorous and enchanting version of the ageless fairytale, teaming up with John McHugh to play the hilarious Ugly Sisters.

Cinderella (Michelle Glynn) finds her Prince Charming (Alan Greaney) through an X Factor type contest overseen by Lord Louie himself (Shane Lennon) who conspires that his own daughter Jennifer Lopaid (Louise Colohan) should be the winner.

Buttons (Declan Gardiner) and the magical Whoopi Goldfairy (Helena Flanagan) ensure that Cinderella's dreams come true.

Other front line performers include Chris Mepham (King), Emer Barrett (Queen), Staale Vaage (Dandini), Andrew Hawcroft (Sir Simon of Cowell) and Karl O'Doherty (Baron Stoney-Broke). Cherie Worthington-Eyre has devised sparkling routines for the pantomime dancers, while Antoinette Casserly choreographs the famous little Renmore Smurfs.

'You're a Star' winner Lucia Evans is lead singer for upbeat and exhilarating numbers, including hits from 'High School Musical 2'. Chorus Mistress Anita Mahon embellishes the vocal output. MD Adrian Flatley has assembled an accomplished Panto Orchestra.

This feast of spectacular family entertainment is again directed by AIMS Award winning twins Brian and Seán Power.

Tickets, €16/€14, are available from the Town Hall Theatre, Galway on 091-569777. The show runs at the Town Hall Theatre, Galway from Sunday 30 December for 18 performances.
