Twenty-year-old Michael, from Ferragh in Co. Longford, was last seen on Eyre Square in Galway at approximately 1.45am on Wednesday 20 February. He had been in Galway for a few days with friends and had been socialising in the college bar at NUI, Galway before he disappeared.

Gardaí, the Coastguard, and Michael’s family and friends as well as students from Galway, Limerick and Longford have been searching the shoreline for traces of the student, who is described as being 5 foot 10 inches in height, of slight build with brown hair and blonde streaks.

He has blue/grey eyes and when last seen he was wearing blue jeans, grey converse runners, a grey/green khaki jacket and a beige baseball cap bearing the NY logo. He was also carrying a navy Sagem mobile phone with a crack on the screen.

Anyone with information is urged to contact gardaí at Mill Street Station immediately on 091-538000.
