People planning on attending this year's St Patrick's Day Parade on Monday have been asked to arrive in good time and use the various carparks available.

The venue for the floats to assemble is in the Fairhill/Fr Burke Road area. The parade will line up on Father Griffin Road; these floats will then be assembling from early morning so there will be traffic diversions in place in that area.

Between 50 to 60 floats and bands are expected to participate in this year's parade, which should take about one and a half hours to pass the review stand.

The parade route will be kept clear of traffic from midday and there will be no unauthorised parking along Dominic Street, Bridge Street, Eyre Square or Prospect Hill.
