With 70 feature screenings, 120 short screenings, 25 documentary screenings, actors and directors masterclasses, debates, discussions, public interviews, workshops that run in tandem with – a film financing seminar, 565 scheduled meetings, numerous contacts made, business cards exchanged, a European co-production dinner, receptions and launches, this year's Galway Film Fleadh was this year hailed as complete success, with numbers attending well up on last year's event. "This years fleadh was a total success. There was such a great atmosphere around. Actors Peter O'Toole, Bill Pullman and Jessica Lange were in and around the city, so it was great for people on the streets to see and meet them," remarked the spokesperson. 'Kisses' was named the best Irish feature and Barbara Deignan won this year's pitching award.
