Tom Cullivan and friends will take to the stage in Galway City Museum this Thursday, 13 March, for a night of music and song of the nation to mark the start of St Patrick's week in the city.

For Ceolchoirm Phádraig Tom will be joined by singer Michael Hannon, pianist Elena Gekker and violinist Eamonn Rabitte. The show will mainly consist of old Irish tunes and songs, including some of Moore's melodies.

Tom's style, which is tonal, is influenced by the music of nineteenth- and twentieth-century composer-pianists and by his own family background in Irish traditional music. His music has been performed throughout Ireland, Europe and the US. He has written many chamber and solo instrumental works, including seven piano sonatas, two sonatas for bassoon and piano, two violin and piano sonatas, two piano quintets as well as other sonatas for cello and viola.

The concert will commence at 8pm and tickets cost €15. For further information phone 091-532460.
