Gardaí are looking for witnesses to an assault, which occurred on St James Road, Mervue on Tuesday.

On Tuesday 5 February at 9.45pm a male was assaulted by four males, described as being in their early 20s.

Two were of men were thin build and the other two were of larger build. Two of the offenders wore hoodies, navy blue in colour and the other two wore zipped up black jackets.

Anyone who may have witnessed this assault or noticed anything suspicious is asked to contact Garda Padraig Kelly of Galway Garda station on 091-538000.
