Three Chinese men are being sought after an aggravated burglary in the Bohermore area of the city on Friday evening last. A Chinese woman was accosted at the back door of her rented accommodation at 7pm in Grealishtown, Bohermore, by the gang of three men who forced their way into her house. The gang, one of whom wore a balaclava, made away with four laptops and a sum of money. The Galway Crime Unit examined the scene and an incident room has been set up in Mill Street Garda Station, where the mater is being investigated. The first man is described as approximately 25 years old, 5 foot 8” tall and of a strong build. He wore a black jacket, blue jeans and was clean-shaven. The second burglar is described as being in his early 20s, of medium build and wore a blue jacket and black shoes. The third wore a balaclava, but was described as having shoulder-length black hair. He was six foot tall with a very slim build and wore a black jacket. All three are thought to be of Chinese descent. Gardai have asked for witnesses to contact Mill Street Garda Station on 091-538000 or the Garda Confidential line on 1 800 666 111 with any information regarding the crime. |
