The County Galway Hunt, or the Blazers, as they are known, have raised €35,000 for Enable Ireland during their annual cross-country charity ride.

The proceeds of this year’s fundraiser were presented to Joanne Murphy of Enable Ireland on Monday evening.

Enable Ireland Galway provides essential therapy and services to children and adults with physical and sensory disabilities throughout Galway City and County. The money raised at the event will go towards a Hydrotherapy Treatment Pool planned for the Child Development Centre.

Enable Ireland thanked the “hardworking committee” of the Galway Hunt for their “tireless work, commitment and enthusiasm”.

A spokesperson for the County Galway Hunt said that they were very grateful for the generosity of the local farmers, landowners and their families, and thanked them for their support throughout the year. They also expressed their thanks to the sponsors of the Annual Charity Ride.
