An oral account of the events surrounding the 1983 escape from the H blocks will take place in the Clybaun Hotel next Friday, 25 April.

'Tales of the unexpected' is a dramatic performance given by three of the prison escapees, Gerry Kelly MLA, Bic McFarlane and Bobby Storey. Each of the men will detail their own personal involvement in an operation that saw 38 IRA prisoners escape from the infamous H Blocks. The talk is delivered in an informal setting with the audience encouraged to engage themselves with the banter of the night.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the 'Great escape' from Long Kesh prison.

Music and refreshments will also be supplied on the night, which begins at 8pm. Tickets cost €10 and will be available at the door. For further information, contact Anna on 087-6901381.
