The inaugural 'Carnmore Mile' will take place on Sunday 5 October at the Carnmore Hurling pitch as a unique fundraiser in aid of Carnmore Camogie Club and Galway Hospice.

The organisers of this family fun event invite people of all ages to participate in a one mile run, walk or crawl in aid of two very good causes.

Anybody interested in participating should arrive at Carnmore Hurling pitch any time between 12 noon and 2pm.

On completion of the mile, each participant will receive a commemorative 'Carnmore Mile' cap and a certificate of completion.

All participants are requested to raise a minimum of €20, which must be handed at registration on the morning of the walk.
