A leading provider of information technology solutions for the catering industry has donated top of the range IT products to the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) Hotel School. MICROS-Fidelio Ireland Ltd's IT solutions will bring many benefits to Hotel and Catering students within the Institute. The OPERA Property Management System (PMS) and the MICROS Ovation products will ensure that graduates will be fully competent in the principles of management and key operations of hotel properties right from the start of their employment. The donation also marks the strength and commitment of relationships between GMIT and the hospitality industry and its key suppliers. Dr Stuart Jauncey, Head of the School of Hotel and Catering, GMIT said: "MICROS-Fidelio is the leading supplier of technology solutions to the hospitality industry and it is therefore the system graduates are most likely to use when they enter the industry."
