Garda investigations are underway into a series of cases of criminal damage at the weekend.

Galway Gardaí are examining CCTV footage which shows four males causing criminal damage to the windows of two business premises on Quay Street at the weekend.

The incident occurred at 6.30am on Sunday 1 June and Gardaí are anxious to speak to anybody who may have witnessed the events.

Elsewhere, a blue Ford Transit had its driver's and passenger's windows smashed at Barr na Cluana on the Headford Road on Friday 30 May at some time between 2am and 3am and another incident occurred involving a '03 registered black Audi a4. The Audi had its front and rear windows smashed at Woodquay at some stage between 1am and 10am on Sunday 1 June.

In addition to this, there was criminal damage done to a white yacht moored at Galway Docks over the weekend. The incident occurred between Friday 30 May at 10pm and Sunday 1 June.

Despite these events, Sgt Sean Colleran of Mill Street Garda Station said the weekend was "generally OK" with regard to anti-social behaviour in Galway and that were no major incidents.

Anyone with information on any of the above matters is asked to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.
