Galway In Focus to lift lid on bin wars E-mail

Galway In Focus, City Channel's weekly look at events and happenings in Galway, is this week exploring the escalating situation regarding the collection of domestic rubbish.

2672 The so-called 'bin wars' began again in earnest on 1 January when Galway City Council introduced 'pay-by-weight' for their bin collections. In a direct response to this move, Galway company 'City Bin' has countered with their own price structure.

Jimmy Norman will take viewers through an in-depth look at the escalating situation this week.

City Channel is available on the NTL network channel 107 digital and also available on the analogue service.

The show will be broadcast, today, Wednesday at 11.30am and 5.30pm, on Thursday at 8am and 7pm, on Friday at 12noon, on Saturday at 5pm and on Sunday at 8am and 3.30pm.
