The awards, which were held at the Radisson SAS Hotel Galway, saw the adventure centre beat off stiff competition from 70 other applicants. The Proactive Marketing Institute West Region Marketing Awards is the West of Ireland's premier event for showcasing the success of marketing professionals and organisations. Based in the spectacular mountainous Delphi Valley, the company is Europe's leading adventure destination. In 2006, Delphi was taken over by a new team headed up by Managing Director Rory Concannon. The company has achieved an impressive 157 per cent growth in business in the first year of operation. "A thorough understanding of target markets, strong communication and a proactive approach to attracting clients was the core of our success. We are truly delighted to have received this prestigious award. It verifies our team orientated, customer centred approach," stated Mr Concannon. Delphi's services include a range of activities, both corporate and school adventure packages. It also caters for families, individuals and groups who want to down tools and escape to the West. "We are not stopping here, Delphi Adventure Company in March 2008 launches Ireland's first Eco Wellness Centre, incorporating a Luxury Spa, Organic Restaurant and Hotel, following a €10 million investment programme. This marketing award highlights that Delphi has significantly contributed to making the west coast of Ireland a number one tourist destination," explained Sales and Marketing Manager Olivia O'Reilly. |
