Edward Griffin, who was recently charged with the murder of Patrick McCormack, is back in police custody following a breach of his bail conditions.
The accused, with an address at 57 Cimin Mor, Cappagh Road, Knocknacarra, failed to come up with the necessary bail sureties laid out in court and was remanded in custody at Castlerea Prison. He will remain in custody until the surety is paid and is due to appear in court on Friday 27 July.
Under his bail conditions, Mr Griffin had to report to Mill Street Garda Station between 9am and 9pm daily, surrender his passport and reside at his address at 57 Cimin Mór, Knocknacarra. The 43 year old was charged with the murder of Mr McCormack following the discovery of the body in a cold storage area behind the Mermaid fishmongers on Henry Street on Wednesday 13 June.
