Whether you are planning a flamboyantly themed event, or have your heart set on celebrating your wedding with a carbon-neutral big day, and whether it's your first or fifth time up the aisle, Franc is up for the challenge of waving his magic wand to help make your dream nuptials a reality.

This year over 23,000 weddings will take place in Ireland. They're a big business and, averaging €30,000, an expensive business.

For application forms and further information on the television series, members of the public can go to www.rte.ie/tv/franc/ or contact Power Pictures on 091-868064 or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Closing date for receipt of completed application forms is this Friday, 1 August.

Hi there - I am wondering if this article posted the 30th of July has a misprint for the closing date of the competition? Was there really only 2 days to submit an application form?

From a newly engaged Galway girl, living in Paris.
