An Aer Arann flight headed for Galway yesterday made an emergency landing "as a precautionary measure", according to the company.

The RE 231 flight from Dublin to Galway left Dublin at 9am yesterday with 30 passengers on board, but had to make an emergency landing at Shannon Airport due to a technical difficulty.

According to an Aer Arann spokesperson, all passengers and crew landed safely just after 10am and were transported to their final destination by coach.
