A Lettermore man who pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol in his system was fined €400 (endorsed) and disqualified from driving for 12 months at Galway District Court this week.
Colm Folan, (40) with an address at Tra Ban, was convicted of the
offence, which occurred at Bothar Na mBan on 20 July 2006. The court
heard that the defendant provided a positive breath test.
Mr
Adrian MacLynn, solicitor, noted that his client went for drink after
his grandfather's funeral with his cousins who travelled from England.
The defendant, who is a married man, works as a stonemason. He was
remanded on continuing bail to a court sitting on 14 March for
completion of summary matters.
