Fans of Tuam rockers The Saw Doctors won't 'Win Just Once' this summer following the news that the band are to stage a second show in the city this summer.

Following the sell-out success of The Saw Doctors 20th Anniversary Concert in Salthill Park, on Saturday 26 July, Fáilte Salthill has confirmed that The Saw Doctors will play a second concert in the Melody Tent, a 3,000 capacity Big Top Marquee, in Salthill Park, Galway, on Sunday 27 July.

Tickets for the extra Saw Doctors show in Salthill Park are priced at €25 (plus booking and handling fee), and are currently on sale from Ticketmaster Outlets, and from Zhivago Records and Redlight Records in Galway, and The Brogue Pub in Tuam.

The Saw Doctors hope to film and record the two Salthill concerts on July 26 and 27 for a 20th Anniversary Concert DVD and live album, which Shamtown Records will release in December.

"We're absolutely delighted with the success of the 20th Anniversary Concert in Salthill Park on Saturday 26 July," said Band Manager, Ollie Jennings. "It's amazing to have sold 3,000 Saw Doctors tickets in the past week for the Salthill Park concert on 26 July."

Special guests at the two Salthill Park concerts will include former band members who have played with The Saw Doctors over the past 20 years.

"The Saw Doctors are looking forward to a great night's music in the Melody Tent on 26 July," said band guitarist Leo Moran. "Salthill Park has a long tradition of staging musical events going back to the old Hanger Ballroom. In the mid-eighties, I had a great day at a 2FM 'Lark in the Park' in Salthill, featuring The Waterboys and Too Much For The White Man."

"The two Saw Doctors concerts will be a great boost to Salthill, especially with the cancellation of the Salthill Air Show this summer," said Cathal Keogh, Chairman of Fáilte Salthill.

Doors for both shows will open at 5pm with several Galway bands playing before The Saw Doctors, taking the stage from 8pm. There will be a curfew on the music in Salthill Park at 10.30pm on both nights.
