Galway Deputy Frank Fahey has vowed to oppose the introduction of tolling on both the Galway to Tuam and Galway City Outer Bypass road projects.

Deputy Fahey was responding to reports earlier in the week that suggested polling could be introduced on the Galway to Tuam road.

“A commitment was given that both these road projects would proceed as non-tolled PPPs and I will not accept anything less,” he said. “I will not stand for a toll on either of these two road projects.”
