There have been reports of from the Knocknacarra area that bogus collectors who are claiming to fundraise for The Galway Black Dragon Kickboxing Club are visiting houses asking for people to 'sponsor a line'.

However, the Club stated yesterday that it had no fundraiser in place at the present time "as it has come to our attention that some unscrupulous people have been selling lines in the Knocknacarra area for the aforementioned club."

"All and any fundraising of this nature for the Galway Black Dragon Kickboxing Club will be carried out by authorised persons only with full identification and with a permit from An Garda Siochana".
