County planners have responded to the concerns of locals in Clonbur by refusing permission for a broadband mast.

Hutchinson 3G was seeking to build the mast south west of Cloghbrack, at a site overlooking Lough Mask. Planners, however, decided that the area was of ‘significant scenic amenity and tourism value’ and have blocked the planned construction.
