A number of coastal projects in Co. Galway are to benefit from this year's Clár Coastal Development Scheme, which was launched last week by Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Eamon O Cuív.

Three small piers in Galway – Bunowen, Dunloughan, and Muigh-Lorras - will be improved under this scheme.

Minister Ó Cuív said the CLáR programme strengthens rural communities through investment in the infrastructure that most affects the living standards and the development of those communities.
