Take part in the Breton Dancing and Crepes Making Workshops in the City Museum this Saturday between 12 noon and 4pm.

A day of crêpe making, Breton singing and dancing will take place in the Galway City Museum this Saturday 1 December between 12noon and 4pm for Breton Day 2007.

The day's festivities will kick off at noon, with the first of two cr?pe-making workshops. The workshops are free of charge, but due to the limited spaces on offer the City Museum are advising people to call in advance to reserve a space.

"This is the second time that we have run a cr?pe-making workshop here, It is great fun, and an ideal way to learn about other cultures," said Breandán ? hEaghra, from Galway City Museum.

Breton Day is organised by the Galway-Lorient Twinning Committee, an organisation that has gone from strength to strength since its revival a number of years ago. Among the other activities planned for the day will be a screening of some Breton films as well as information sessions about Lorient. Two musicians will fly in from Lorient to Galway on Friday to participate in the event.
