City curate victim of burglary attempt E-mail

A city curate has been the victim of one of a series of burglary attempts in Galway city and county.

Last Monday, 29 October, a male attempted to break into a curate's house in St Patrick's Church on Forster Street. The suspect was disturbed and chased from the scene and made his escape across the railway line walkway. He is described as 5ft 10, of slight build and aged between 18 and 19 years. He was wearing light blue jeans, a dark blue hoody and gloves.

The front door of a locked premises in the Liosbaun estate was also broken into in the early hours of Tuesday 30 October, near the Ulster Bank on the Tuam Road. A number of burglaries have also recently taken place in the Loughrea, Woodford and Kilrickle area.
