A Texas Hold'em event will be held in the Salthill Hotel on Sunday 2 March with all proceeds going to GOAL and the Galway Rape Crisis Centre.
The event is being organised by the Galway Gladiators for Charity as part of their campaign to raise €100,000 for the two charities.

With €25,000 in guaranteed prize money, the organisers are anticipating keen interest in this event from Galway's poker playing fraternity.

The event is hosted by Celtic Poker Tour, which provides an authentic experience in Texas Hold' Em gaming with fully trained and friendly staff, real Las Vegas style poker chips and tables, and a guaranteed minimum prize fund.

According to organiser and member of the Galway Gladiators, Dermot Duignan, “We are hoping to attract many of Galway’s high profile players to this event which has a guaranteed prize fund of €25,000. All of the proceeds will go to GOAL and the Galway Rape Crisis Centre so we would encourage anyone with an interest in poker to come on down to the Salthill Hotel on Sunday 2 March.”

Entry fee is €200 plus €20 registration. Registration takes place on Sunday 2 March from 2pm to 4pm in the Salthill Hotel. For further details check out www.celticpokertours.com.
