Castle Park alley 'an eyesore' E-mail

An alleyway in Castle Park has been branded an 'eyesore' by City Councillor Terry O'Flaherty, who has appealed to people dumping rubbish there to refrain from doing so again.

Cllr O'Flaherty has contacted Galway City Council in relation to the dumping and has asked the Environmental Department to have the rubbish removed.

"The alleyway in question is in a terrible mess with old furniture, household appliances and other rubbish strewn everywhere, which is a cause of both upset and concern to the residents residing close to this area. The residents that contacted me, are appalled at the illegal dumping that is taken place in one of the alleyways, they have requested to have it cleaned up urgently and to ensure that rubbish can not be dumped in this area in the future."
