Newly revamped sailing school Bow Waves has expanded its team again with the addition of Danny Kennedy to its teaching staff.

Danny, from the North Strand in Dublin and now living in Galway city centre, has a Higher National Diploma in Shackleton Outdoor Adventure Management from Coláiste Dhulaigh in Coolock, Dublin. His qualification encompasses not just sailing but also powerboating and windsurfing, so his contribution to the company will be substantial.

Before attending college Danny had never sailed but is now clearly a lover of this exhilarating sport. He told the Galway Independent that he is "delighted to be joining this up-and-coming business", and that "it's an exciting time to be getting involved".

He has worked in Kinsale, Achill and Wexford as a sailing instructor and joins Bow Waves as a Senior Sailing Instructor, teaching courses on dinghy, keelboat and powerboats.
