As the second week of the 31st Galway Arts Festival draws to a close, it is the Big Top that is taking centre stage as a host of international stars descend on the city. ![]() New York rockers Blondie will be in Galway 'One Way or another' on Thursday night 24 July. Popular bands The Dandy Warhols and Ash will hold the Big Top on Friday 25 July Tonight sees musicians Tom Baxter and KT Tunsdall taking to the Big Top stage at 7.30pm. This week in theatre sees Better Late which is on a sold out run in the Town Hall Theatre, Enda Walsh's The New Electric Ballroom is running until Saturday 26 July at the Druid Theatre and Penguins will run until Saturday 26 July at Tara Restaurant. The Laughter Loft will finish up on Saturday 26 July at The King's Head. Cuba takes centre stage for music fans towards the end of this week with The Whip playing on Thursday night 24 and Autamata playing on Saturday 26 July. Throughout last week there were nightly sell out performances for Enda Walsh's The New Electric Ballroom, Damian Dempsey, Alabama 3, Cathy Davey, Phillip Glass and the hugely entertaining Des Bishop.
