Beer lovers and connoisseurs will be excited to hear that the biggest beer festival in Ireland is on its way back to Galway for its second year this October.

The Black Box Theatre is the venue for the second Great Irish Beer Festival on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 October.

On offer will be over 100 different beers, ciders and ales from all over the world. Throughout the event, you will have the opportunity to taste and purchase an array of products from the very best of Ireland's and the world's innovative and unique drinks companies and meet some of the brewers, distillers and cider makers behind the high-quality range of products on offer.

From Galway Hooker and Hersbrucker to Svyturys Ekstra Draught, Chimay Blue and Hoegaarden, and flavours like chocolate and banana, as well as a selection of non-alcoholic beers, there's something to wet every whistle.

Doors open at 3pm on both Saturday and Sunday, and close at 10pm each night. Tickets cost €15. For this you get entry to the event and €3 back in 'Beer Bucks' (drink tokens). These Beer Bucks are tokens used to purchase beer on the day (as no cash can be used to buy alcohol). Beer Bucks can be purchased in the venue.

Tickets are available from The Town Hall Theatre on 091-569777, from Midnight Promotions on 091-568674 or on the Great Irish Beer Festival website at www.greatirishbeerfestival.com.
