Audit for Gaeltacht arts E-mail

A full audit into artists and arts provisions in the Gaeltacht is being carried out by Ealain na Gaeltachta.

The purpose of the audit is to assess the current state of the arts and to gather information regarding the infrastructure, activities and services for the arts in the Gaeltacht, which will form the basis for a new Arts Plan for the period 2011-2015.

As a first step, artists and organisations involved in the arts in the Gaeltacht are being invited to take part in an online survey. Those who have had dealings with Ealaín over the years will automatically receive an invitation to participate in this survey over the next few days.

However, Ealain is urging those artists and others active in the arts that have not had dealings with Ealain to get in touch so that they too can be included. The audit is being carried out independently by Majella Ni Chriochain, who has many years experience of working in the arts within and outside of the Gaeltacht.
