Gardaí are appealing for information in relation to a serious stabbing incident, which occurred in the city last week.

The assault occurred on Francis Street between 8pm and 8.30pm on Friday 7 November. It is believed a number of people were present in the area of the bus stop at the time of the incident and gardai are anxious to speak to them. They have also appealed for anyone in the vicinity of Abbey Church at that time, to come forward. The suspect was male and was observed leaving the scene in the direction of Woodquay.
