Lucky punters can relish the prospect of guaranteed Tote Jackpots on all seven days of the festival: Wednesday and Thursday €70,000; Monday, Tuesday and Friday €50,000; and Saturday and Sunday €30,000. All jackpot winners throughout the week will be entered in a free draw for a fabulous Chrysler and the lucky winner will be chosen at the September meeting. The winner will need to be present so all finalists should attend.
But, even if your horse loses, you can still be a big winner with the popular Tote Losing Ticket Draws each day for weekends away in various hotels.

John Moloney, racecourse manager at Ballybrit, has emphasised that the Galway Race Committee has installed a new hi-tech water filtration system and UV light system at the course, which will ensure that all water outlets at Galway Racecourse are safe for human consumption. This system has been tested by the HSE and tests returned clear of cryptosporidium.

Bus Éireann will operate a shuttle bus to and from the races departing outside the Skeffington Arms Hotel in Eyre Square to facilitate the free flow of traffic. Admission charges to the racecourse will be as follows:  Monday, Saturday & Sunday €20, Tuesday & Friday €25, Wednesday & Thursday €30.
