Due to the phenomenal success of the recent wine tastings at Lohan's Bar Restaurant, another series of tasting evenings will be held throughout January and February.

These will include masters of wine Dale Gatcum, John McDonald and Jean Smullen, representative for the Chilean wines in Ireland.

The season of pleasurable wine tasting will start by concentrating on the top grape varieties and then onto main wine producing countries. A wine expert will discuss each wine on the night.

Beginning on Wednesday 24 January, the wine tasting journey will begin with the main grape varieties and this will continue on January 31; the wines from Chile, Spain, France and Australia will be explored from February 7 through until February 28.

The price of wine tasting is €20, which includes tasting of eight wines, a cheese and meat board and a talk by wine experts, along with tasting notes. Places are restricted, so booking in advance is essential.
