There is nothing sexier than a sultry, smoky eye, but it can sometimes prove a bit tricky to achieve. First of all, dust a coat of powder over your eye to make sure your lid is oil-free. This will make the finished look last much longer. Next up, apply a line of black eyeliner along the top and bottom rims of your eyes. Try using a soft pencil, such as MAC kohl liner, which can then be smudged on the bottom of the eye for a more dramatic effect. The next step is to apply a neutral shade of cream or shimmery eyeshadow to the lid, all the way to the browbone. Then apply a darker shade such as purple, grey or brown onto the eyelid working from the lashes up to the crease. When choosing colours, do not be afraid to experiment as dark shades of navy for those with blue eyes and gold for brown eyes can look amazing. Finish the look with several coats of mascara. |
