Leading heart specialist to visit Loughrea E-mail

Leading heart specialist, Dr Jim Crowley will present a public talk in O'Dea's Hotel, Loughrea on Thursday 1 November at 8pm.

Dr Crowley, who is consultant cardiologist at UHG, will outline current trends in heart disease prevention and management. He will give an overview of the risk factors associated with heart disease as well as recent research in the treatment of these risk factors.

The aim of this talk is to highlight the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle through the control of risk factors such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure and physical inactivity.

This talk, which is free of charge, should be of special interest to the general public but especially to people with a history of heart disease and their families. After the presentation there will be an open forum for questions and answers.
