Cairde Chiarraí, the Kerry people's Association in Galway, is holding a table quiz in the Warwick Hotel, Salthill on Monday 29 January in aid of Galway Hospice Foundation.

The annual event starts at 8.30pm and the cost of entry is €40 per four-person team. All money raised will go to the hospice, which provides Specialist Palliative Care Services to patients throughout the county. Some of these services are free and include Home Care, Inpatient Care, Day Care, Bereavement Support and Education.

The Home Care service makes 4,000 'Hospice at Home' visits every year throughout County Galway, including the Aran Islands. The Day Care service gives clinical, therapeutic and recreational support to patients.

Costing €1.1 million per year, these services depend on voluntary support so they can continue to act as a link between patients and the local community.

Anyone who is interested in sponsoring a table, making a donation or donating a prize for the quiz can contact Seán O Leidhinn of Cairde Chiarraí on 091-525526 or Emer Mulkerrins from Galway Hospice on 091-770868.
