ISPCC Galway has launched the County Colours Car Jersey Magnets initiative in a bid to highlight to young people the positive alternatives to drug and alcohol misuse through activities such as sport. The ISPCC County Colours appeal, now in its fifth year, will run throughout the GAA Championship season. Individual county jersey badges will be on sale for ?2 in Boylesports, Heatons, and at all match days nationwide. Commenting on the local launch, Community Fundraiser for the ISPCC, David Muldoon said, "Wearing and displaying county colours with pride this summer will help the ISPCC raise over ?250,000 which will go towards our overall fundraising target of ?5.1 million, which is needed to ensure our current services - Childline, Childfocus and Leanbh - are maintained in the ISPCC Galway. We rely heavily on the generosity of the general public to ensure we can keep providing these much needed services for children and young people in the area." |
