The organisers of the 2007 Galway Bay 10 are encouraging people from all over the West and beyond to go the extra mile for Cancer Care West.

Ambitious targets have been set for this year's run with race organisers hoping to raise ?300,000 for the cancer charity. The race is expected to attract 1,000 entrants.

The race route changes slightly this year and participants will set off from South Park surrounded by the beauty of the glistening bay. The route will wind its way through some of the most scenic areas of Galway and Salthill and finish up at Nimmo's Pier where the fun continues with a post race celebration and presentation of prizes.
