The latest survey has shown that people living in the West would rather go on holidays than buy a house.
The survey, conducted by Rehab, shows that the majority of people in Connacht would spend €100,000 winnings on a holiday over a house. The surprise findings are the result of a survey conducted by Lansdowne Market Research to mark the launch of Rehab Easy Win. When asked how they would spend the top prize of €100,000, 45 per cent of Connacht residents said they would spend their winnings on a holiday.
This is higher than the responses received from other parts of the country. New cars were second on the wish list with 31 per cent of respondents saying they would spend their cash in this way. Investing in property ranked third, with 27 per cent of people saying they would put their windfall towards a new house. |
