Research conducted on behalf of teh chemist Boots has found that 80 per cent of people start the New Year with a multitude of resolutions. However, within one week, 50 per cent of people have already failed to stick to their resolutions. Most of us have more than one thing, we'd like to change about ourselves. However, trying to achieve too many things at once is a recipe for failure. The experts at Boots believe that people are more likely to succeed at keeping New Year's resolutions if they are not overly ambitious in their goals, and focus on changing just one thing. With this in mind, Boots has developed a comprehensive 'Change One Thing' programme, which is available free in its stores. If you fill out a pledge card, you will be provided with a free pocket planner. There's a series of planners to choose from including Stop Smoking, Lose Weight, Look Great, and Feel Healthier and Feel Happier. The pocket planners include advice on how to motivate yourself to achieve your goal, as well as providing top tips on how to succeed. They outline how you can make the necessary lifestyle changes along with offering advice on sticking to the resolution. The planners also come complete with a fold out planner diary and money off coupons for products that will assist people in achieving their goals. |
